History

SARJANA Journal is a Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Universiti Malaya journal. It was first published in1981. The first online issue was published in Vol. 33, No. 2 (2018) marking her willingness to adapt to the globalization and internet technology. In 2025, the journal published its 40th issue marking its relevance in the academic arena. While substantial academics and students have benefitted from this journal, it is now entering a new phase where the main focus is internationalisation. This is evident from its Editorial Board comprising 60% of international academics.
